Privacy Policy

Visabae ("we", "us") helps you apply for tourist and business visas. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and how long we keep it. It is written to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

• Account details: name, and the email or phone number you sign in with (via Google or a one-time SMS code — we never store passwords).
• Application details: passport number, date of birth, phone, address, and employment/business information.
• Documents you upload: passport copies, PAN/Aadhar, bank statements, ITRs, salary slips, photographs, and sponsor documents where applicable.
• Payment records processed by our payment provider (Stripe) — we do not store your card details.

Why we collect it

Solely to prepare and submit your visa application on your behalf, verify your documents, communicate with you about your application status, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

How we protect it

• Documents are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket — never publicly accessible.
• Document links expire automatically after a short time (10 minutes).
• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
• Only authorized staff reviewing your application can access your documents.

How long we keep it

We keep your uploaded documents only as long as necessary to complete and support your application. Once your application reaches a final status (approved or rejected), we automatically delete your uploaded document files after a defined retention window. We retain your application record (status, dates, visa type) and payment/invoice records for longer where required by law (e.g. tax and accounting purposes), but the underlying document files — your passport scans, bank statements, and similar — are purged.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us, except where we are legally required to retain specific records (such as financial records for tax compliance).
